Flying Tiger Copenhagen: Celebrating 30 years with tricks, treats and community
While headlines continue to predict the decline of the UK high street, one design-led retailer is proving that creativity and affordability can still pull crowds. For three decades, the brand has been delighting consumers with colourful, playful products that transform the everyday – and its central London flagship store stands as proof that joy still gets people through the doors.
To mark 30 years of success, we set out to create a moment that would showcase the retailer’s unique personality and bring its loyal community together. The celebration transformed Tottenham Court Road into a destination experience, where media, influencers and everyday shoppers could immerse themselves in the brand’s world.
We hosted a morning of matcha and nibbles for press and influencers, coupled with an in-store shopping experience that allowed them to rediscover the magic first-hand.
Shoppers were treated to entertainment that surprised and delighted, from live magic to a spin-to-win prize station, ensuring that everyone left with a sense of excitement.
The event drew a strong turnout of national consumer and lifestyle media, including key press at Bauer, Stylist and Heat to name a few, alongside top-tier influencers. The event gave media and influencers the chance to experience the brand first-hand, a reminder of why it continues to connect with UK shoppers after 30 years.
By fusing thoughtful press engagement with consumer-facing activation, we created a celebration that captured attention both in-store and across social. The result was more than a birthday party, it was a statement that physical retail is still alive and thriving when it’s done with creativity, energy and a clear sense of brand purpose.
