Creating unforgettable moments in our summer sampling campaign

There’s no better time for ice cream than summer and Little Moons tasked us with getting as many of their delicious mochi in mouths as we could. And so, we took to the UK’s waterways in our Little Moons Houseboat, where we handed out thousands of free signature mochi ice cream bites to sun-worshipers in London, Manchester and Birmingham.

With its signature pink wrap, our out-of-this-world houseboat delivered instant wow factor wherever we moored – and with a series of elevated experiences including our dress up box, mochi selfie mirror and a Little Moons washing line - the boat was inviting for passers-by and generated that shareability moment we were looking for.

Fans were able to unlock bonus prizes by finding the hidden keys at each location and enjoy their reward of a goody bag packed with branded merch. Everywhere we moored, queues formed to get a glimpse of our Little Moons Little Houseboat and sample a selection of mochi ice cream.

Little Moons: Getting mochi in mouths for summer

Across the 9 days of sampling, we handed out over 68,000 mochi treats and delivered press coverage in local titles as well as BBC Radio 6. We also welcomed influencers on board which generated a social reach of 1.7M and over 500 UGC posts were shared from people who visited the boat.

Later on in the year, Little Moons launched its new range of delicious Cheesecakes and once again our task was to get as many people to try the new range as we could.  Once again, we took to the road in our cheeky Cheesecake Truck. With its eye-catching wrap and bright lights, people were soon lining up to taste test the new cheesecake range, and we sampled 22,840 deserts in London, Birmingham and Manchester. To drive further talkability and social shareability we ran a competition with Astrid & Miyu, with prizes up for grabs to those who snapped and shared.
