HIJINGO

Launching The 80s Power Trip for summer 2023

ABOUT THE PROJECT

HIJINGO: Launching The 80s Power Trip

Hijingo is a multi-sensory live entertainment experience in Shoreditch with epic prizes up for grabs every single day. Though the bonkers bingo concept has received a string of rave reviews since its arrival in London a few years ago, wanted to create a bespoke experience that would maintain footfall throughout the summer months when competition with outdoor venues was higher.

And so, Visible PR was asked to support the launch of Hijingo: The 80s Power Trip to consumers. The show was designed to transport guests back in time to the vibrant, dynamic era of the 80s, following a hilarious story of greed, power, and redemption as they bingo’d and boogied the night away.

Open for a limited six-week-run, our task was to raise awareness of the new show in consumer and listings media, create buzz and FOMO on social media and drive bookings before the show’s closure at the end of summer.

With just four weeks till launch, we quickly got to work in creating press assets and collating imagery to bring the experience to life, securing coverage in London listings press and relevant what’s on style roundups, including Secret London, Sheerluxe, Culture Trip and London on the Inside.

To drive reviews and social buzz around the new experience, we hosted a preview night for media and influencers, working in partnership with Pingfluence. Media guests included Time Out, On in London and Verge Magazine, and among the influencers who attended were the likes of Antigoni Buxton (Love Island), David Templer (Made in Chelsea) and Courtney Veale (Below Deck).

We commissioned a photographer from PinPep to capture imagery of the influencer guests on launch night, resulting in coverage in the celeb and showbiz pages of the Daily Mail and OK magazine.

To supplement our earned campaign, we also organised two paid media partnerships with Londonist and Time Out, who seeded content across their newsletters and social channels throughout the six weeks of the show, with bespoke offers for their readers to boost additional ticket sales.

By the end of summer, HIJINGO: The 80’s Power Trip, was the hottest experience on every Londoner’s lips.
